Randi Beth Kish is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) on the Upper West Side of Manhattan who sees individuals, couples and families. She specializes in anxiety, depression, couples counseling, life transitions, trauma, relationships and mediation.
Randi welcomes all types of individuals, couples and families, including people who identify as LBGTQ or non-binary.
Randi takes an integrative treatment approach that incorporates a number of different modalities, including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), supportive therapy, family systems and non-traditional psychodynamic therapy.
Randi often works with individual clients to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression. In couples work, Randi helps clients to improve communication and reduce conflict. She often works with clients who are dealing with infidelities, money issues and differences in parenting styles.
In family therapy, Randi helps family members learn new, more productive ways of interacting and provides a safe, supportive environment in which to discuss difficult issues. Randi also does mediation, helping people resolve disputes. Her clients in this work include separating/divorcing couples or others seeking to negotiate a conflict and reach a compromise.
In addition to completing a five-year training program in couples and family therapy at the Ackerman Institute, Randi completed a post-master’s program in individual psychotherapy at Hunter College School of Social Work. She has also completed a one-year training program at the National Institute for Psychotherapy to learn different techniques to treat trauma. She has also taken courses in CBT and somatic therapy.
