Professional statement

Dr. Rebecca Cohen is a Licensed Psychologist in New York who works with adults with depression and anxiety disorders. Many of her clients are women in their 20s and 30s.

Dr. Cohen’s treatment approach is insight-oriented, utilizing Psychodynamic therapy and relational framework. Rather than just treating clients’ symptoms, Rebecca takes the time to help them determine what the root cause is. She wants them to see the big picture and solve the problem long-term. While she gives her clients tools to utilize between sessions, she wants to give them strategies and insights that they cannot find online.

Dr. Cohen has over a decade of experience and is passionate about the work she does.

Message to clients

There are many different forms of treatment which can be helpful in treating people. I guide my clients through the process of not only understanding the concerns and issues they face on a day to day basis, but through the generalized process of gaining a better understanding of self. During psychotherapy you will learn about your condition, moods, feelings, thoughts and behaviors. Psychotherapy will help you learn to take control of your life and respond to challenging situations with healthy coping skills.
