Hi, I am a clinical therapist in Capital Hill, Washington DC & MD. I primarily work with individuals over the age of 6, families, and couples. Many of my clients come in to address anxiety, depression, stress, and parenting issues. I have advanced training in the areas of Anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, Oppositional/Defiance DO, Adjustment DO, Depression, and OCD.
I’m trained in CBT, motivational interviewing, behavioral modification, art/narrative therapy, talk therapy, and ERP. With this eclectic approach and strong therapeutic relationship, treatment is customized to the unique needs and strengths of the client. This approach supports clients to increase awareness of their needs, learn effective coping skills, and practice healthy emotional expression.
My style is direct, non-judgmental, and goal-oriented. When clients first start therapy, focus is on the client-therapist relationship to build trust, establish rapport, and create a safe space for clients to progress at their own pace.
I received my Masters in Clinical Counseling from Argosy University and have provided outpatient therapy services at MD/DC offices, as well as public schools in PG County to individuals & families. Outside of private practice, I enjoy cooking, crossword puzzles, stand up paddle boarding, and volunteering at local food drives.
