Rebecca Youssef, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in issues related to stress management, burnout and work-life balance, life changes and transitions, and health and wellbeing. Dr. Youssef received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Midwestern University and completed her undergraduate education at Loyola University Chicago. Prior to opening Valued Living Counseling Services LLC, Dr. Youssef worked as a primary care behavioral health consultant on a team of internal and family medicine doctors treating patients with a variety of medical and mental health presentations.
Dr. Youssef preaches, teaches, and practices mindfulness and valued living to help clients with re-connecting to themselves, to their lives, and to the things that are most important to them. Her work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and she also incorporates solution-focused counseling, person-centered therapy, mind/bodywork, and humor into the work she does with clients to help them improve their mood, functioning, quality of life, and overall health. Her goal is to help her clients clarify what they are wanting for themselves so they can make choices aligned with their values and live life in ways that are most meaningful to them.
Dr. Youssef works as an out-of-network/private pay provider which allows her to offer more individualized care without the need for herself or her clients to jump through the insurance hoops that can create barriers to accessing therapy. Additionally, there are many times when individuals seek out therapy for concerns that may not meet criteria for a mental health diagnosis which would be required by an insurance company to cover treatment. Dr. Youssef strives to make access to therapy services as simple as possible so that any Oregon resident can get the care they are looking for.
Dr. Youssef is currently accepting clients, and offers therapy services exclusively online.
