Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSWRhona Amorado is a Licensed Masters Social Worker located in Forest Hills, NY. Rhona works with young adults and adults whose lives are negatively impacted by their mental health. Rhona’s clients face challenges with depression or anxiety, which leaves them feeling isolated, like they’re the only ones struggling to get through the day. They feel unmotivated yet constantly search for ways to feel more connected to themselves and others. They feel stressed in their relationships and at work, rendering them emotionally exhausted.
Rhona provides empathetic, nonjudgmental and affirming therapy services. She is a strengths-based therapist who empowers clients to see their resilience as their superpower, which can help them get through difficult times. She offers clients guidance on effective coping strategies through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which also helps them in their relationships. Rhona also provides space for clients to talk through how their past experiences have impacted them and to express the pressures they feel to make everything work in their lives despite feeling detached. Clients leave sessions with Rhona feeling heard, with tools to implement in their daily lives that can help them make lasting change.
