Rob Magyar is a Licensed Master Social Worker and graduate of Rutgers University. He has an engaging, but relatable, approach and demeanor, focusing on working with clients (teens and adults) and couples to best identify their needs and challenges and working together as a team. Rob has experience working with clients who have experienced depression, anxiety, stress, and self-image issues. He is also a Certified Trauma Professional and is versed in the neurobiology and intergenerational nature of trauma. Rob has a history of direct experience working within the LGBTQ+ community, addressing issues relating to adultery/affairs and interpersonal violence/abuse.
Rob draws from an array of interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Grief Counseling, Narrative Therapy, and more in order to find a best fit method of helping his clients pursue their goals and happiness in life. Rob's primary focus is his client's wellbeing and fulfilment in life and seeks to work as an active partner to that end.
