Professional statement

Ronia Arabatlian is a licensed clinical social worker, with over 20 years of experience, who offers HIPPA compliant virtual services to individuals throughout the state of Pennsylvania. She works with young adults/adults who aspire to live a life of vitality and freedom. Many of her clients come in feeling overwhelmed, alone, sad and anxious due to unresolved grief/loss. Ronia, is particularly passionate about serving parents/caregivers of children with special needs, who are experiencing challenging life transitions. She also has advanced training in areas of grief/loss, trauma, anxiety, depression. Furthermore, as a first generation immigrant, she has personal and professional experience in dealing with intergenerational trauma.

Ronia utilizes a psychodynamic, integrative, and holistic approach. She starts with establishing a therapeutic relationship in which clients can feel safe and comfortable to begin processing difficult feelings and emotions. She works with her clients to examine how past experiences influence current feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. In session, Ronia focuses on mind, body, and spirit connection, the breath, mindfulness, and grounding techniques. This approach supports clients to work though difficult emotions, understand behavior patterns, transform negative feelings, and feel more empowered.

Ronia's style is collaborative, compassionate, and non-judgmental. She works with her clients to build the therapeutic relationship and develop a plan of action to achieve the clients desired goal. Therapy is a journey of self discovery and self awareness not a destination.

Ronia received her MSS from Bryn Mawr College. She has worked with domestic violence victims, neurodivergent children in a school setting and community mental health agency, and in the private agency sector. Outside of private practice, she enjoys being in nature, gathering sea-glass/seashells along the beach and traveling.
