Dr. Gaskins received her PhD in Medical (Clinical) Psychology and a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed an internship in Behavioral Medicine and a postdoctoral fellowship in Developmental Pediatrics at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Her clinical work, teaching, and research have focused on providing evidence-based treatments to adults, children, adolescents and families in a broad range of clinical difficulties, including in general mental health, making healthy lifestyle changes, and child, adolescent and family concerns.

Dr. Gaskins takes a client-centered, holistic approach to care, providing a safe, supportive and reflective environment to optimize patient growth and fulfillment while incorporating into the therapeutic process the impact of individual (mind, body, physical health), systemic and other social and environmental factors across the developmental spectrum.

My practice is client-centered and focuses on helping individuals adapt, reflect and cope with struggles in a supportive and safe environment. I work with children and adults, both individually and as a family. I have experience treating individuals from diverse educational, racial, religious and sexual orientation backgrounds. I primarily use evidence-based treatment approaches, e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, tailored to meet your needs and/or those of your family.
