Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHCShe/They
Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHCRose Carmen Blair is a holistic psychotherapist and mind-body healer based out of San Juan Island, WA. Her clients are typically "high functioning" - what might even be called "over functioners" - but know there's something more for their life and feel overwhelmed, depleted, disconnected and stuck. They often come to her to address chronic anxiety, chronic pain, stress, shame, existential crisis, and conflictual relationships with their body. Rose is particularly passionate about serving deep feelers, sensitive souls, big thinkers, and the practical yet spiritually inclined.
While Rose does talk therapy, she is trained in a truly holistic approach that prioritizes hypnotherapy, breathwork, somatic release, meditation, transpersonal, strength-based, trauma-informed care, plus nutrition, herbalism, and lifestyle. Through these profoundly effective approaches clients gently uncover and release stuck trauma, stress, and shame from the mind-body, reprogram old belief systems, release repressed emotions, and heal deep woundings so they can live with more long-lasting ease, energy, joy and empowerment.
In session, Rose taps into the deeper workings of the subconscious, focusing on body awareness, breathing exercises, movement, hypnotherapy, energy release, grounding, meditation, lifestyle habits, and tools to strengthen one's Wise Self. This approach supports clients to feel healthier and more at ease, have a better relationship with their body, be more calm and present, and feel more energy, pleasure, clarity, and confidence.
Rose received her BA from Reed College and her MS from Prescott College. She has also worked with an intensive outpatient eating disorder clinic, a family grief center, and Indigenous communities in the SW. Rose has advanced training in the areas of Anxiety, Complex Trauma, and Sensory Processing Sensitivity (HSP), and is an Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist, Biodynamic Breathwork and Trauma Release facilitator, and Grief Recovery Specialist. Outside of work she enjoys outside exploring, gardening, herbalism, biking, dancing, art, learning, and traveling.
