Message to clients

Seeking out counseling or therapy is no easy task, but you are here, and that should be celebrated. I'm honored to work with you and will provide the best support I can during our time together. Before we begin, you will schedule a consultation. The purpose of this meeting is to get to know each other and determine if we are a "good fit". If we both agree to work together, I will send important documents that will need to be completed before our first session. The initial session takes 60-90 minutes to complete-it and is typically longer than a regular 50-min session.

Academic challenges - Addressing underperformance in coursework, school avoidance, and procrastination

Adjustment difficulties & disorders - Support around adapting to new and/or challenging life circumstances; skill-building for improved stress management and reduction of anxiety.

Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)

Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life

Stress management - Strengthening effective ways of coping with the stress of life and change; managing expectations of self and others

Burnout - Managing and recovering from stressors that lead to feelings of decreased motivation and disconnection from the self; practicing effective self-care and finding ways to relax both physically and mentally
