Licensed Professional Counselor, LPCRozette specializes in working with adults experiencing trauma, depression, and struggling with daily life events and transitions. In her work with children, she specializes in helping them, and their caregivers, learn how to recognize and cope with their emotions, communicate their needs, and improve their ability to solve problems.
Rozette has worked with adults, adolescents, and children in various settings including hospital and community clinic settings. Her approach to counseling is primarily person-centered, meaning she thinks you’re the expert in what is and is not working for you and will work with you to achieve what wellness means to you.
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Child mental health - Specialized strategies for common childhood disorders including attention issues, attachment problems, behavioral disorders, learning disorders, autism spectrum diagnoses, and feeding or elimination issues.
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
Existential crisis & challenges - Supportive exploration of meaning and purpose in one’s life; finding one’s path in the face of existential anxiety, dread, and feelings of meaninglessness
Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
Women's issues - Therapy tailored to common concerns among women; providing a safe and understanding space to address life challenges, stressors, and questions around identity as a woman
