Samantha Sanchez Franco, LMFT is a therapist based out of Los Angeles, CA. She specializes in ADHD, Trauma, and identity. She also provides Multicultural Counseling supervision and trainings to paraprofessionals and professionals in the Mental Health and Medical Healthcare systems. Samantha operates from an understanding of people within the context of their environment. Where we come from and what we've lived through, shape our thoughts and perceptions of ourselves and the world. When we are unaware of how our past experiences impact our present, we can find ourselves feeling stuck in a loop of thoughts or behaviors we can't change.
Samantha is especially passionate about leveraging the individual strengths associated with your ADHD to personalize coping skills that actually work. She is happy to provide psychoeducation on medication and holistic approaches, and works with your choice of what is right for you. She is experienced in childhood and late adult diagnosis.
Her educational background includes a Bachelors and Masters degrees in clinical counseling psychology as well as a concentration in Drama Therapy. Drama Therapy is the use of creative and performance arts modalities within the therapeutic setting, particularly with severe trauma. She also uses approaches rooted in pre-Columbian practices from her background in combination with evidenced based classics like attachment theory, CBT, and DBT. By combining these modalities, Samantha provide an alternative way of processing and making sense of what has been too painful to directly speak to. Shas adapted these to fit the telehealth model and offers these specific interventions to anyone who is interested in exploring them.
Samantha provides telehealth services only at this time, accepts major insurances, and provides a sliding scale cash pay rate to those out of network.
