Professional statement

Mrs. Samarra Rogers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Richmond, Virginia. She specializes in women’s issues, teens, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and coping with life’s transitions.

Mrs. Rogers practice, The Reframed Mind, LLC, goes by the motto, “Therapy For A New Frame of Mind” because she believes that we all at times allow our thoughts, emotions, and life experiences to place us in a frame of mind that makes the picture of our lives appear off from what we know it could be. She believes that through therapy, she can come alongside you in your journey to make those adjustments to reframe the picture that you have for your life and offer the tools to assist in keeping the life that you want for yourself in focus. In her practice, she utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Client-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy approaches.

Samarra is a two - time graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, earning her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and Master’s in Social Work from the institution. She and her husband of 17 years, Bryan Rogers who obtained his Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Human Service Counseling with a specialty in Executive Leadership also provide couple’s coaching under The Reframed Mind’s banner.

Samarra is available for remote sessions only and by appointment.
