Hi, my name is Sara, and I am a licensed clinical social worker with 10 years of experience helping clients navigate stress, anxiety, grief, depression, and loss. Having lived across the United States, I returned to my childhood home in Lake Charles, Louisiana, in 2023 with my husband and our two rescue dogs, Pip and Pierre ๐ถ๐ถ.
My journey to this career has been diverse. I spent my 20s in hotel management ๐จ and my 30s in retail management ๐๏ธ. It wasn't until my 40s that I found my true calling and enrolled in the social work graduate program at the University of Alabama ๐. Like many of my clients, I sought purpose and meaning in my life.
After graduating, I completed two years of post-graduate clinical training and passed the clinical licensing exam ๐. Since then, I've worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds. I don't see myself as an expert, but rather as a guide, working with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
Seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage ๐ช, and my goal is to support and empower my clients on their journey toward change. ๐
