Professional statement

Sarah Benoit is a licensed psychotherapist in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Since obtaining her graduate degree in Counseling Psychology form Fitchburg State College in 2004, she has worked in a variety of settings and provided a variety of services. Early in her career she worked in a hospital in patient setting and then moved to community based mental health work. The last 10 plus years her primary focus has been on private practice and private consultation services. Most recently she has obtained a certificate in Plant Medicine from Cornell University in 2021.

Sarah focuses on individual therapy with older adolescents, young adults and adults. She has significant experience working with victims of trauma and co-victims of homicide. She also focuses her practice on helping people manage anxiety, depression, life transitions, and work stress. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology and Eye Movement Desensitization and Processing (EMDR) are just some of the methods that Sarah employs with her clients. Some clients have found that working with plant medicine and entheogens is a beneficial addition to their inner growth. Over the last year, Sarah has included Plant Medicine Integration and Coaching to her offering of services.

Both in person and telehealth services are offered by appointment only. In person sessions are held at her Milford, New Hampshire location.
