Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, CSATHe/Him/His
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, CSATMr. Scott Moore is a clinical social worker based out of South Dakota but also has a practicing license in Missouri. The clients that typically seek him out are males and have problematic sexual behaviors that are now impacting their relationship and life.
During sessions you will be encouraged to be as open and honest as you're comfortable. This allows him to use an eclectic approach to therapy as he believes not just one type of therapy will work on clients which means there is a need to use different types of therapy treatments. Assessments will be encouraged to take which will help identify aspects of the clients they may not have known about themselves which can lead to breakthroughs in session.
Mr. Moore attained his Master of Social Work degree in 2018 and started working in substance addictions for a non-profit. Knowing his calling was working with those identifying with problematic sexual behaviors he branched out in 2022 and started his own practice to help those struggling with their behaviors. In 2022 he also received his Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) credentialling from IITAP, an industry leader in the field of problematic sexual behaviors.
Noting that therapy was only one piece of the puzzle, Mr. Moore received training and became certified as a Professional Certified Coach through the ICF.
He keeps up his knowledge through reading and attending trainings covering topics in this area. He also was a combat medic in the 101st Airborne back in the mid 2000's of which he is proud and helps make his sessions slightly different then most other therapists out there.
All sessions will be virtual and in the evenings as well as on Saturdays mid-day. Please note, Mr. Moore is on Mountain Standard Time (MST).
