Psychologist, PhDHe/Him/His
Psychologist, PhDDr. Procopio is a Licensed Psychologist who works with individuals and couples and is committed to guiding clients as they identify and experience the improvement and growth they seek. His clients often recognize that while they are functioning, this is limited by a variety of things including anxiety, mood concerns, low self-esteem, a history of physical, emotional, and/or oppressive traumas, relationship struggles, and environmental stressors.
Dr. Procopio’s approach is rooted in interpersonal process, strengths-based, and multicultural frameworks. He emphasizes the importance of building a strong, transparent relationship as the basis for effective therapy and is particularly sensitive to how clients’ identities, cultural backgrounds, and environments influence how they navigate the issues they face. By using his genuine curiosity to understand his clients’ experiences across environments, Dr. Procopio helps clients tap into their existing strengths and ability to think critically about how they can achieve change in their lives or relationships.
An individual or couple working with Dr. Procopio can expect science-based interventions, flexibility, transparency about the process, and openness to feedback. He regularly initiates check-ins about how clients are experiencing therapy and progress so that modifications to his approach can be made as appropriate.
Dr. Procopio’s priority is for new individual and couples clients to feel welcomed, understood, affirmed, and willing to collaborate with him on their therapeutic journey. He is an experienced telehealth provider, offering the convenience of remote sessions to help clients prioritize therapy with greater ease.
