Shaelyn Cataldo is a Holistic Therapist who provides individual therapy to teens and adults across Rhode Island. Many of Shaelyn’s clients come in when they've exhausted their go-to coping strategies and are ready to dig deep to understand the roots of their behaviors. Shaelyn is passionate about working with caregivers, empaths, young people as they transition to adulthood, postpartum moms, individuals struggling with body image issues or disordered eating, parents who are trying to break generational patterns, adult children of alcoholics, and individuals experiencing grief and loss.
Shaelyn uses a holistic approach to healing that honors the interconnection of body, mind and spirit. She blends mental health counseling, somatic healing, attachment work, and the expressive arts to support people in reconnecting to their own inner wisdom and authentic voice.
Known for her clarity, warmth, and humor, Shaelyn meets clients where they are at in their therapeutic journey. Shaelyn knows that therapy is hard work. So, she hopes to offer a brave space for clients to process their emotions, approach moments of discomfort and stress, and hopefully find peace, gratitude, or whatever else they seek.
Shaelyn earned her Master’s in holistic mental health counseling from the Salve Regina University in RI. Prior to starting her private practice, Shaelyn worked providing therapy in a group practice, coaching women across the globe to heal patterns of perfectionism & people pleasing and working with the most vulnerable members of the community across various roles. She has her Perinatal Mental Health Certification through PSI and received post-graduate training in EMDR, the Expressive and Creative Arts and Somatic Attachment.
Outside of private practice, Shaelyn enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, dancing in her kitchen, hiking, or rewatching her favorite Modern Family episodes.
