Shaniah is a warm and empathetic clinician passionate about individual counseling and crisis intervention. She holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University and a BA in Psychology from SUNY New Paltz. With extensive experience supporting young adults in need of emotional support, she most recently served as Senior Coordinator for The Opportunity Network’s Wellness Support Team, providing 1-on-1 counseling to college students. Her client-centered, culturally responsive approach incorporates CBT, SFBT, DBT, and Strength-Based Therapy.
As a Resident Assistant and Community Mentor at SUNY New Paltz, Shaniah supported students during crisis situations and provided follow-up care for those struggling with loneliness, depression, and anxiety.
