Shanice Applewhaite, APCC (she/they) has a long history of working with disenfranchised populations and has developed a powerful approach that is both grounded and dignifying. They currently focus their work on uplifting queer, biracial, and black adults as they explore multifaceted identities and navigate systemic oppressions and relational traumas that impact their mental health.
Shanice's approach profoundly develops the self-compassion, self-confidence, and self-trust of their clients in a way that allows for safe self-exploration, healing, and alignment with one's values. They use a variety of healing principles and modalities grounded in a strong healing relationship between themself and their client. They are able to incorporate EMDR, somatic, holistic, mindfulness, relational, narrative, experiential, and feminist/decolonial interventions and curates their approach to each client collaboratively.
