Shaniqua Gray is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about supporting her community by providing comprehensive, compassionate mental health care. She specializes in early childhood education, and also enjoys working with adults who are going through life transitions. Many of her clients struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, or Autism. They seek both short term and long term intervention to live comfortable, joyful lives.
In her practice, Shaniqua brings clients therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. Clients examine the thought patterns that lead to distressing emotions, including emotions that are a result of traumatic experiences. By altering these thought patterns, clients find reprieve from distress and learn how to become more resilient. They also learn how to be present in the moment without judgment, which may help reduce anxiety levels.
Shaniqua earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from Barry University. She is an advocate for community mental health and the benefits of psychoeducation. Her practice philosophy includes the belief that not everyone will respond to any single approach to therapy, which is why she continues her education by learning about contemporary practice and mental health research.
