I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and received my Master of Social Work at Fordham University’s School of Social Services. I have many years of experience providing clinical therapy in outpatient and private practice settings. I decided to pursue a career in mental wellness to decrease the stigma about mental illness. It was important to me to help you improve your mental health outcomes and become more aware of issues that can trigger mental illness, such as poor work/life balance or traumatic experiences.
I love to work with people who are currently experiencing anxiety, depression, or other mood disorders stemming from trauma and/or everyday stressors. I am passionate about working with people from disadvantaged populations to increase the quality of care they receive and help them engage in meaningful conversations about mental health and overall wellness. I am here to listen to your lived experiences, educate you on clinical concepts/ideas/interventions, and help you figure out what practical skills you can apply daily to improve your overall functioning. I also work to teach you practical coping skills to regulate your emotions and practice daily self-care.
I am a bilingual, bicultural, and trauma-informed psychotherapist with a highly developed sensitivity and awareness of how to work with individuals from diverse populations. My practice is client-centered and focuses on assisting you in reaching your goals. In my personalized treatment plans, I use combinations of cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), trauma-informed therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness meditation.
I have extensive experience working with young adults, adults, and the elderly. I specialize in working with adults who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, and relational conflicts.
