Message to clients

Welcome! My name is Sharon-Rose Alonzo and it is my desire to see you grow into the person you wish to be. Whatever you feel is holding you back, let’s unpack it together. Let’s stop the cycle of fear, shame, and silence and instead cultivate self-compassion, deeper understanding, and hope for a future in which you are able to function at your best. Psychotherapy for me is about developing tools for self-regulation which are just as important outside of the therapy room as it is within it. In sessions with me, we will also take a closer look at the body and spirit and their unmet needs that are often crying out to be addressed. My experience with utilizing Parts Work, DBT, CBT, and somatic therapy will allow us to target all of these areas and create a foundation for a life lived with increased peace and confidence.

My professional experience includes providing counseling for teens, young adults, and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, panic attacks, disassociation, and minority stress due to microaggressions/racial discrimination. Please don’t be shy in talking about faith and spirituality! It is one of my favorite topics to explore with my client!
