Message to clients

I focus on empowerment, awareness, authenticity and self-compassion. How to nurture and strengthen a sense of self: identifying core beliefs, strengths, vulnerabilities and fears. Exploring what brings you a sense of meaning and purpose. Identifying ways that you want to grow and paths to growth. Participating as a companion and advocate on your journey towards wholeness and healing.

I emphasize the role of neuroanatomy in mood and anxiety disorders, however, also conceptualize issues within the social context such as external barriers or issues like unconscious role expectations impacting your ability to live authentically.

What is your perception of self, others and your world view? What experiences and significant relationships that have shaped these perspectives? If an experience has led to dis-regulation or dissidence, what are you struggling to integrate and why? What are your core fears? What role does fear play in your life? Have your defenses or ways of coping manifested in a way that feels healthy or have these tendencies and convictions led to detachment and dissociation?

We’ll reconstruct and revalue rejected parts of self that feed into fears such as being unlovable. During the session analysis, as difficult emotions surface, I utilize techniques such as mindfulness and meditation to help you feel grounded and regulated. I incorporate somatic therapy into treatment. I provide psychoeducation and training on empirically supported cognitive/behavioral based coping strategies. You are not alone on this journey. I’m committed to your growth and all the support you might need along the way
