Professional statement

Stephani Bradford is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Austin, TX. Many of Stephani’s clients begin therapy because they’re finally ready to prioritize their mental health. Often, these clients focus most of their energy making other people happy without spending time or effort on themselves and their needs. This can lead to feelings of disconnection – to the self and to others – and a lost sense of self. In starting therapy, these clients dedicate themselves to putting their needs first, even if they aren’t sure what exactly this looks like. Stephani helps clients figure out what this looks like.

Often, Stephani works with clients who previously experienced trauma. The impacts of this trauma can become chronic stress or anxiety. Stephani’s approach to treating clients comes from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Clients learn how to identify negative thought patterns that lead towards stressed or anxious moods. Stephani also teaches them how to place painful memories behind them so they can stay present in the workplace and in their personal lives.

Stephani earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. She has over 8 years of experience supporting clients. Her style is approachable and compassionate, and her goal is to help clients find the most effective self-care practices for them.

Message to clients

I'm passionate about working with people who want to evict their inner critic, but who still want to succeed in work or school. I'm all about examining our anxieties, how they help us, how they keep us stuck, and how we can make them work for us instead of against us.

Let's talk about how to get balance back in your life, how to feel fulfilled at work, in your relationships, and with yourself. We can discuss what you can do with that pesky critical voice you have that second guesses your every move--and how you can take away its power.

I specialize in working with adults who struggle with anxiety, stress, and perfectionism. I’m also EMDR-trained and have a special place in my heart for helping those who have experienced trauma. I believe that therapy can be playful, creative, and refreshing, in addition to being life changing--I know it has been for me.

You've already taken a huge first step in deciding you're curious about what therapy has to offer. Contact me for a free initial consultation and let's talk more about how I can help.
