Professional statement

Stephanie specializes in helping individuals and couples unlock the secrets to happy relationships. Areas of particular speciality include support for major life transitions (processing breakups, premarital, pre/postpartum support, & parenting) as well as for renewing relationships in couples who have been committed for years. Stephanie's approach is client-centered and informed by training from the Gottman Method as well as the methodology of Emotionally Focused Couple's Therapy.

Prior to specializing in couples Stephanie worked primarily with children and families; this work led her to discover a passion for working with family systems and with special interest on supporting adults in learning communication and emotional regulation strategies to foster healthier family environments. Stephanie believes in the power of strong relational skills as transformational not just for marriages, but for families and communities.

Stephanie offers virtual sessions to clients across the state of California and is able to offer sessions from 10am through 7pm most weekdays.

Message to clients

Are you stuck in a cycle of hurting each other? Unsure how to navigate a life change? Longing for connection and don't know where to start?

Therapy can be a space for you to learn communication skills that will teach you to navigate disagreements and turn conflict into connection.

You're not alone in having relationship struggles, and it's not your fault (it's not like we are taught this stuff in school). But it doesn't have to be all on you to figure it out on your own.

Choosing to seek support is a step toward healing and happiness. Virtual therapy sessions offer flexibility and privacy in a supportive environment. It can be a space where you can learn better communication skills, understand each other deeper, and practice getting through the hard moments together in the environment you actually live in, day to day.

The most important thing to me as your therapist is that you feel your time in therapy is well spent. To get started, we’ll explore your unique problems, address underlying feelings, and then equip you with the tools to reconnect. Therapy should feel like it is a space to get comfortable with the hard stuff yes, but it should also feel empowering and above all, helpful.

If you’re ready to invest in your relationship schedule a free consultation. If we are a good fit, we can get started on your therapy journey right away; if not, I'll provide resources and referrals to the best of my ability.
