He helps professionals at all career and life stages to make important decisions, build meaningful relationships and adapt to transitions such as student-to-professional, staff member-to-manager, manager-to-executive, professional-to-retiree, marriage, divorce and relationship and career disappointments.
Highly experienced in multiple evidence-based approaches, Dr. Sohnle helps his clients with Process-Based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Clients learn to identify and understand unhelpful thought patterns that can lead to frustration, anger, disappointment, or anxiety. Clients also learn a variety of research-supported coping skills. Dr. Sohnle often incorporates elements of mindfulness into therapy to foster a moment-to-moment awareness which can be empowering and even life-changing.
