Dr. Sunitha Chandy is a Clinical Psychologist with an office located in The Loop in Chicago, IL. She sees children ages ten and up, adolescents, adults, and families and specializes in a number of different areas, including trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, bullying, race and cultural identity, spirituality and religion, and stress management. She also enjoys working with individuals of historically marginalized groups who are less comfortable coming in for treatment.

When working with children, Dr. Chandy usually does short-term treatment to help them build a pattern of competency. In general, she utilizes an eclectic mix of treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and mindfulness practices.

Dr. Chandy is passionate about the work she does and loves working with individuals, couples, and families of all genders, ethnicities, cultures, and backgrounds. She received her MA and PsyD from Fuller School of Psychology and was a postdoctoral fellow at Harbor-UCLA where she specialized in child trauma and suicide. Her office is conveniently near the Monroe Station off of the Blue line and the Adams/Wabash Station off of the Purple, Pink, Red, Brown, Green, and Orange lines.
