Dr. Susan Birne-Stone is a Systems Psychotherapist providing therapy and coaching online, as well as in her Brooklyn Office located in Gravesend/Bath Beach/Bensonhurst neighborhood which is easily accessible by car or public transportation. Dr. Susan has over 30 years in practice specializing in anxiety disorders, depression, stress management, relationships, family, parenting and career issues.  Dr. Susan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has earned both a Master’s Degree and a PhD. She is also a Certified Marriage and Family Therapist, and has received in-depth training in a variety of evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Exploration and Mindfulness/Meditation practices.

Dr. Susan can help you achieve your goals by working collaboratively with you to create the life you want for yourself. She is interactive and supportive and uses a combination of different methods. She can help you better define your goals and explore challenges that may be getting in your way. Dr. Susan also thinks outside the box and will offer a variety of tools to help you. In her work with couples, Dr. Susan has been called a “teaching translator,” helping couples to better understand each other as well as themselves. She is experienced working with all people regardless of race, culture, religion and sexual identity and orientation.
