Well hello there! If you're looking for a safe space to be genuinely you, then you've come to the right place! Tammy would be so happy to meet you! She's a dedicated, fully-licensed and board certified professional counselor who’s passionate about supporting individuals on their journey to wellness. She uses "talk therapies" to provide therapeutic support, guidance, clinical insight / education, and advocacy for those she serve.
Tammy's in her 20th year of clinical practice in mental health and each day seems as exciting to her as her very first! She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia and her masters degree in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin. Ask her how cold it gets up there in the winter!! Tammy also earned an Educational Specialist degree in Community Care and Counseling from Liberty University with a concentration in Traumatology. She's now in pursuit of two doctoral degrees: one in Counseling through LU [all but dissertation at this point] and a Doctorate in Behavioral Health from Arizona States University. To say the least, her thirst for knowledge is insatiable, but her advancements help better serve those in need of support.
Tammy was born and raised in Athens, GA. She's a mother of 3 (18f, 16m – special needs/autism, 9f) and 4 fur-babies (cats): Hermione, Belatrix, Draco, and Percy. Sense a theme? Tammy enjoys Magic the Gathering, ALL things Disney, Marvel/MCU, Supernatural, The Boys, and penguins, because she believes them to be the cutest, silliest of all creatures! She LOVES watching movies, collecting trading cards, video gaming with her kids, board games with the family, weight training, martial arts, graphic design, and walking around aimlessly in bookstores. She's known to spread positive light everywhere she goes.
