Dr. Tania Gonzalez is a bilingual Clinical Psychologist in the state of Rhode Island and in the US territory of Puerto Rico. She completed her Masters and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Universidad Carlos Albizu in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She has experience in working on settings that include schools, university, community health care center and private practice.
Dr. Gonzalez has training in crisis de-escalation and multiple therapy modalities like cognitive behavior therapy, interpersonal, reality based and play therapy, emphasizing the integration of client's strengths and problem-solving skills with a humanistic, behavioral, and culturally sensitive approach. In addition, she incorporates the use of drawings, music and narrative into the therapy dynamics.
