Professional statement

Tanya Samuelian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with adults and couples navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, and burnout. Her clients often appear outwardly put-together, but internally feel disconnected, anxious, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many are navigating major transitions—personally or professionally—and are seeking a space to process, reflect, and realign with their deeper sense of self.

Tanya’s approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in deep listening. She draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive behavioral tools to help clients explore the “why” beneath their patterns while also developing practical tools for change. Tanya believes that meaningful growth happens when clients feel seen, safe, and empowered to explore both the past and present with curiosity and compassion.

With a background in supporting high-functioning individuals, Tanya is especially attuned to the inner lives of those who may be successful in their careers or relationships, but silently struggling with self-doubt, perfectionism, or emotional fatigue. Her work with couples focuses on helping partners shift out of reactivity and into deeper emotional connection, communication, and understanding.

Tanya earned her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University and is licensed to practice throughout the state of California. She is currently welcoming new clients and offers a 15-minute consultation to explore fit.

Message to clients

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re used to being the one who holds everything together. If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or simply exhausted from trying to do it all on your own—you’re in the right place. I offer a space where you can let your guard down, explore what’s really going on beneath the surface, and feel seen without judgment.

My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you can reconnect with yourself—your needs, your emotions, your voice. Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, working to understand your patterns and build a deeper sense of clarity, self-trust, and emotional ease.

I know that reaching out for support isn’t always easy, but it’s a powerful act of self-care. If you’re ready to start this process, I’m here to walk alongside you.
