Professional statement

Dr. Tanya Singh is a licensed clinical psychologist who helps adults navigate anxiety, obsessive-compulsive patterns, perfectionism, and moments of profound life transition. Her clients are often highly self-aware, driven, and outwardly successful, yet find themselves feeling disconnected, lost, or stuck in recurring emotional loops. Many seek not only relief from their symptoms but also a deeper connection with themselves and a more grounded way of living.

Dr. Singh’s integrative approach blends evidence-based practices, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), internal family systems (IFS), and somatic awareness, with insights drawn from Eastern philosophy and contemplative traditions. She works flexibly and intentionally, meeting each client where they are while helping them build the capacity to stay present, regulate their nervous systems, and reconnect with their inner wisdom. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all; her sessions are both structured and organic, shaped by the client’s evolving needs.

In addition to traditional psychotherapy, Dr. Singh offers ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) for clients dealing with deeply entrenched or treatment-resistant patterns. Her KAP work emphasizes preparation, safety, and integration, allowing clients to access insights that support lasting transformation. She is also a certified Reiki master, drawing from this experience, when appropriate, to support clients in cultivating a greater sense of calmness, clarity, and wholeness.

Dr. Singh holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology and has trained at institutions including Columbia University, Harvard University/Massachusetts General Hospital, Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care, and Bellevue Hospital Center. She brings a rich background in research, combined with years of clinical experience, to every session. Therapy with her is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in both science and soul.

She currently offers remote sessions to adults residing in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Prospective clients can expect a warm, honest, and collaborative space where growth unfolds through insight, practice, and a deeper relationship with the self.

Message to clients

Therapy with me is a space to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been overlooked or pushed aside. I offer a thoughtful, flexible approach that honors both your strengths and your struggles. Some sessions may focus on building skills to help you feel more grounded and steady, while others may invite deeper reflection and exploration. I draw from evidence-based modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy and internal family systems, as well as mindfulness, somatic awareness, and Eastern philosophical perspectives to support meaningful, lasting growth.

It is important to remember that therapy is a process, and growth takes time. Some of the most powerful insights can emerge in moments of discomfort or uncertainty. My role is to walk alongside you with care and curiosity, offering a grounded presence as you move toward greater clarity, self-acceptance, and connection.

My relationship with every person I work with is unique, and I am truly honored for the trust so many have placed in me. Through these relationships, I’ve been privileged to witness my clients’ most real and vulnerable parts, and I find that I, too, grow as a person because of the work we do together.

Together, we’ll create a path forward that feels authentic and empowering for you.

Specialties

Anxiety - Anxiety can feel overwhelming and all-consuming, but it is also workable. I help clients understand their anxiety, build tools for self-regulation, and shift their relationship to fear, control, and uncertainty.

Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) - OCD often stems from deep fears and a need for certainty or control. I support clients in learning how to navigate intrusive thoughts with more freedom and compassion, using evidence-based approaches like IFS and exposure-based work.

Life transitions - Major life changes can shake our foundation and bring up old patterns. Whether you’re navigating a career shift, relationship change, or inner transformation, I help you move through transitions with clarity, self-trust, and integrity.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy - For those navigating deeply entrenched patterns or treatment-resistant conditions, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy can support deeper insight and movement. I offer preparation, integration, and guidance throughout the process in a grounded, intentional way.

Spiritual Integration and Existential Concerns - Sometimes therapy is about more than symptom relief—it’s about reconnecting with something deeper. I work with clients exploring spiritual identity, existential questions, and the search for meaning, drawing from both psychological and contemplative traditions.

Self-Worth & Inner Criticism - Many clients I work with struggle with harsh self-judgment and a deep sense of not-enoughness. Together we soften those patterns, strengthen the connection to your inherent worth, and develop a more compassionate internal dialogue.
