Professional statement

My name is Dr. Tanya A. Wright. I have over 25 years in the Social Work field, primarily working with children and families. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with children and adults who have disabilities. I have had extensive training in the area of child welfare, domestic and family violence and substance use. My professional mission is to empower others to be the best version of themselves. I work from a trauma-informed lens and take a multi-modal approach to mental health treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing. I hold a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Stockton University, a Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University and a Doctor of Social Work degree from University of Southern California. I also hold a Master of Business Administration degree from Strayer University.

I am available for virtual sessions during evening hours, and on the weekends.

Relationship issues - Understanding one’s wants and needs in relationships; exploring patterns of interaction, addressing concerns, and strengthening satisfaction in relationships and dating
