Psychologist, PsyDDr. Livengood Psychology, PsyD, PLLC, is owned and operated by Dr. Tara Livengood and spouse, Mr. Brian Foster of East Tennessee. Dr. Livengood is a native Texan who graduated in 2017 with a doctorate in clinical psychology. After exploring the country and working in various settings such as aging services, corrections, forensic, psychiatric hospitals and the Veterans Affairs, she recently decided to return to Central Texas and make the career change to open a private practice. With a broad range of experience, Dr. Livengood, PsyD, PLLC hopes to meet the psychological needs of Central Texas communities and beyond.
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
Loss, grief, and bereavement - Emotionally preparing for the anticipated passing of a loved one; managing feelings and reactions to a death or loss of significance; support during the process of healing and acceptance
Veterans' issues - Coping with reactions of exposure to life-threatening or traumatic events; supporting veterans and their families adjusting to civilian life
Psychological evaluations & testing - A broad range of tests and assessments that may be used to identify present strengths, provide diagnosis clarity, and inform treatment goals. Only offered in-person at the Temple, Texas location.
