Professional statement

Tarah Galloway is a Counselor, Art Therapist, and Transformational Coach in Schaumburg, IL.

She works with hard working women who are great at taking care of everyone else, but often neglect their own needs.

Many of Tarah’s clients come in to address burnout, perfectionism, stress, anxiety, parenting, and trauma. Tarah is particularly passionate about serving women who constantly feel like nothing they ever do is good enough. Her clients often try to be perfect in every area of life, but constantly feel like they're failing, which leaves them feeling anxious, depressed, and stressed.

Tarah understands what it feels like to be constantly exhausted, stressed out, and running on empty, because she was once there herself.

She helps women break free from the judgement, shame, and the never ending expectations, so that they can discover peace and unapologetically be who they were meant to be. Tarah helps her clients rewire their brains and nervous systems, so they can better control their reactions and experience peace.

After working with Tarah, clients have reported that they no longer “snap as much” at their kids or partners. They also report feeling less stressed and anxious, and more loving towards themselves and others.

At the end of treatment, Tarah’s clients are able to do the following:

- Feel confident in who they are.

- Able to speak up for what they want and need.

- Know exactly why they're upset AND have the skills to know immediately what to do about it.

- Experience fewer emotional "ups and downs.”

- Connect more deeply with their loved ones.

- Able to say "no" without guilt or shame.

She's worked with many different types of extremely motivated and high achieving women including executives of fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurs, doctors, therapists, artists, and many more.

Message to clients

I'm so glad you're here! I've been there. I know what it feels like to feel burned out and hopeless. I know what it feels like to wear a mask, pretending that everything is ok. I used to "pretend" that I had it all together. No one could see how much I was hurting inside.

I used to feel like emotions ran my life. I would react (not very pleasantly I might add) and then feel intense shame and guilt over how I responded.

Sometimes, it felt like I was drowning in my emotions, with no way out. That left me feeling depressed and anxious.

Luckily, I discovered therapy at a relatively young age, and have been healing for over a decade. After learning to rewire my nervous system and brain, I now experience peace and joy a majority of the time. I don't have to "pretend" that I'm ok anymore, because I truly am.

And I want the same for you!

I want you to experience self-love and feel at peace. I know what it feels like to hit rock bottom, but I also know what it feels like to crawl your way out, and then thrive.

It's my mission to help transform suffering and shame, into joy and peace. If something within you is begging for freedom...to feel something different than how you feel right now, then please listen to that voice. Reach out for support.

I truly wish you happiness!
