Master of Science, MS - Mental Health Counseling Mental Health Counselor - Limited Permit, MHC-LP Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsSociety might have put a stigma on seeking mental health services, but Tashay's purpose is to help end that stigma. You might have heard others say, “speaking about your feelings is weak” or “keep it in the family.” These messages and other barriers may have prevented you from seeking services. But reading this and reaching out for help is the first step toward starting your journey of healing. As an African-American woman, Tashay always highlights the intersections between culture, identity and mental health. In therapy, she aims to create a non-judgmental, freeing, safe, and authentic environment where her clients can begin to make life changes.
Tashay specializes in working with adults and teens who are experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD and eating disorders. In sessions, she works collaboratively with clients to explore how their identities in society and their past experiences are impacting them, using an anti-oppressive lens.
Tashay is located at 26 Court Street, suite #401, Brooklyn NY 11242. She offers both virtual and in-person sessions during the weekday, evenings, and Saturdays.
