Message to clients

If you're reading this, it means you have already taken the first step toward wellness: you've begun the search for the right therapist for you. In our first sessions, we’ll work to establish goals for treatment so that our later sessions can serve to deepen self-exploration into how we can meet those goals. I am not a smile and nod therapist, but a therapist who will truly be your partner in accessing a higher quality of lived experience.

I approach psychotherapy as a collaboration between myself and my client. Together, we work to transform pain into healing. I see my clients through not only a psychological lens, but through a social, and cultural understanding as well.

Our work together can cover an array of topics ranging from resilience strategies to identity development and shame to patterns of relational or internal instability. During initial sessions, foundation setting within the space together toward cultivating a warm, trusting, helpful and collaborative therapeutic space is central.
