Temima is trained in family systems therapy and IFS. She is passionate about bringing an empathetic, respectful and hopeful approach to the therapeutic process. She enjoys working with her clients with an insight oriented, client centered and strengths-based approach and brings a warm and empowering energy to the collaborative process of healing.
Temima enjoys spending time getting to know her clients and learning from them as the biggest experts on their lives. She also believes strongly that every part of behavior has a story to tell. She helps clients embark on the journey of discovering the stories that lie beneath the surface, thereby deepening their self-awareness, understanding and compassion for themselves. Temima uses this approach as a foundation for connecting with clients, helping them connect with themselves and moving toward positive change.
As a trauma-informed therapist, Temima helps clients understand how past experiences manifest in their present lives and relationships. She helps clients learn tools for calming their bodies and staying present, while gently and working toward healing the past. Individuals who do this work can access more peace, wholeness and satisfaction in their present lives. While the therapeutic journey can be tremendously rewarding and life-changing, it is not an easy one, and Temima holds great respect for those who have the courage to embark on this journey.
