Tia Jenice Morris is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri, who is also licensed in Tennessee & New York. She works with professional, high-achieving women of color, who struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, imposter syndrome, relationships, boundaries, and/or perfectionism. Many of Tia’s clients come in having put in some work themselves. However, they’ve come to the point where they need assistance from someone else to get them to where they want to be and, more importantly, need to be. Tia is particularly passionate about serving high-achieving, professional women who are showing up for others and are ready to show up for themselves.
Tia is trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, which utilizes the concept of our thoughts influencing our emotions, which then influence our behaviors or actions. In the sessions, Tia focuses on providing tools, techniques, feedback on how to reframe how we think about situations, and ourselves. This approach supports clients in becoming empowered to move towards the life they want.
Tia’s style is respectful, supportive, empathetic, and genuine. When a client meets with Tia, they feel she “gets them” and understands their struggles, and where they want to be. Tia is dedicated to providing a relationship that is based on allowing clients to find their essence, voice, autonomy, and superpower to live out their best lives.
Tia received their Master of Social Work degree from University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has 16 years of experience working in educational, government, nonprofit, community mental health, and private practice sectors which enables them to bring these experiences and understandings to sessions for clients with various backgrounds. Outside of private practice, Tia enjoys spending time with friends and family, enjoying sunny days, collecting inspirational quotes, and having random moments that bring laughter and joy.
