Message to clients

Quickly after beginning my career as a mental health counselor in 2010, I realized the need for high quality eating disorder treatment. As someone who received counseling for my own food and body related issues in college, I understood the struggle. I knew how necessary it is for many people to have an experienced therapist/treatment team to help them heal and I saw the gap in outpatient treatment options. So, while I didn't initially start my career in mental health with the intention to work with the eating disorder population, soon after becoming licensed I dove into learning as much as I could and eventually became a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS). Later, I became a supervisor who trains others in the field of eating disorder work. If appropriate, I can collaborate with a client's full treatment team. I am passionate about the work that I do with my clients. I continue earning CEUs and attend conferences every chance I get. Further into my career I became interested in the intersectionality between ADHD and eating disorders and began my formal training in working with clients with ADHD (with and without an eating disorder).

As I frequently say, no one is "just" their eating disorder or "just" their diagnoses/label so of course I work with many other mental health challenges as well.

Again, I love the work I do so if you think we might be a good fit then I look forward to meeting with you.
