Professional statement

Dr. Tiffany Sunde, PsyD, is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist in Los Angeles, California. She specializes in working with clients to cope with emotional dysregulation across the context of such issues as anxiety, depression, and interpersonal difficulties. Her practice is open to adults across the lifespan, including recent college graduates and young professionals.

In addition to her work with individuals, Dr. Sunde also welcomes couples to her practice. She works with partners to identify negative interaction patterns that may be perpetuating "gridlock," holding them back from cultivating secure loving attachments and developing more effective communication.

Dr. Sunde is an expert in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), a skills-based approach to treatment that includes aspects of mindfulness and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Through a combination of insight-oriented and skills-based work, her clients grow to build resiliency, disrupting various patterns of thinking and behavior that have been holding them back.

Dr. Sunde's office is located in West Los Angeles, and she also offers remote sessions for clients throughout the course of the pandemic. She looks forward to meeting you as you explore and heal during your therapeutic journey.

Message to clients

Today, you are one step closer to a new you – in which you feel empowered, and on a positive path to unlocking deeply personal growth and well-being.

My approach is integrative and tailored to your needs and preferences. Our work can be considered a partnership designed to foster your growth, one where you'll have feedback and tools available to help you work towards your best self. We’ll draw from skills-based orientations, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as more trauma-informed models like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Mindfulness is key to our work as well, and you'll strengthen the ability to view the world around you with curiosity rather than judgment, thereby decreasing the neurological “fight or flight” response that can cause anxiety.

I provide a nonjudgmental, supportive space in which we can work together to identify, understand, and reshape any beliefs and behavior patterns that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I encourage you to reach out to determine whether we're a fit, and look forward to hearing from you.
