Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSWTina Gillems, LCSW, has been providing therapeutic services since 2014. She is currently licensed in Florida. Tina has over 17 years of experience with Children and Families, Adults and children within the community, child welfare, individual and family therapy, case management and medical social work. She graduated Undergrad at Florida Southern College being a former collegiate athlete, and former semi-pro basketball player. Tina completed her Masters’ Degree at Barry University. She has worked within the Juvenile and adult justice system, LGBTQ population and their families, children and adults with mental health, children and adults that have aged out of foster care, and others in the community. Tina has worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, domestic violence, and many more. She will treat your experience as your own even if she has had clients with similar concerns. Tina likes to use the following Evidence based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Solution Focused therapy, Person-Centered therapy, and Motivational interviewing. Each case is individualized to fit your needs.
ADHD - Skill-building and support around organizational challenges, distracted attention, procrastination; building and maintaining healthy routines and structure
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Panic attacks / panic disorder - Brief, intense periods of overwhelming fear or anxiety
Performance anxiety - Underperforming, due exclusively to anxiety
Social anxiety - Helping clients increase confidence and ability to interact with others amidst fear of being judged, worry about embarrassment, or concern about offending others
Climate anxiety - Coping with the unique stress created by climate change, including managing any overwhelming feelings of impending disaster and finding outlets for advocacy
