Professional statement

Todd Brossart is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Board-Certified Diplomate (BCD). His office is located in the Cherry Creek Shopping District of Denver, CO. He specializes in providing cognitive-behavioral therapies, including mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. He assists people from all walks of life change the relationship they have with their emotions and thoughts, viewing them as ongoing and changing experiences so they can respond more flexibly to life events and challenges in the moment.

Todd has extensive experience utilizing these therapeutic approaches in multiple clinical settings (outpatient mental health and outpatient substance use clinics), giving him the ability to help individuals work through long-term challenges to better understand how their past experiences effect current patterns of behavior. His approach is both collaborative and educational. To support patients in defining what matters to them, Todd experientially helps each person connect with meaning and purpose, to encourage them to engage in values-based choices.

Todd has helped people who are struggling with a wide array of emotional difficulties including anxiety, depression, detachment, and trauma. He helps them study their thought processes and cultivate an emotional awareness so that they can face themselves and their lives without judgment. From this open-minded place, clients feel empowered to make more flexible choices in their lives. Todd provides a safe and confidential environment for individuals to work through any challenges they are facing and have the ability to speak freely, without judgment.

Message to clients

While our thoughts influence our actions, they don’t control our actions. We don’t always consider this dynamic when we feel stuck and uncertain of how to move forward in life. If you've ever wondered if there's more to life, then I am here to assist you in discovering what's important to you, while cultivating greater self-awareness. Often it's our interpretations of what we experience that is the cause of our distress and suffering. From a mindfulness-based, acceptance and commitment approach, learn how to become open to what is present in your life, while being a willing participant to do what matters.

I have 12 years of experience utilizing various therapeutic approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I have extensive experience working with Military Veterans and Animal-Assisted Therapy.

After a decade of clinical experience, I believe therapeutic experiences can be the key that helps clients unlock desired changes. If you know that change is needed in your life, then let's get to work on moving you in the direction of the person you wish to become.
