Professional statement

Dr. Toni Leo is a Clinical Psychologist with a specialty in working with clients experiencing medical/health conditions and people desiring habit change (smoking cessation, weight loss, healthy eating, etc). She understands both the science and art of therapy through over 25 years of clinical experience with diverse populations in both outpatient/inpatient medical and outpatient mental health environments. She conducts assessments for Pre-Surgical Evaluations for bariatrics, pain procedures, infertility, organ transplant, and any other conditions requiring fitness for surgery evaluations.

She refers to her treatment approach as "CBT+" because she integrates an understanding of the many factors that influence and impact childhood development and how those issues can obstruct reaching goals and living a happier, lighter life in adulthood. She is trained in mediation and has worked in the Court system in Family Conciliation. She trained in Mind-Body Stress Reduction with Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D., Equine Assisted Psychotherapy/Learning through EAGALA, and she practices Clinical Hypnosis. She is also an accomplished plant-based chef and educates clients interested in healthy eating especially when dietary restrictions are an issue.

Dr. Leo is available for in-office sessions in Sierra Vista, AZ. She conducts equine-assisted therapy and retreats at a ranch also in Southern AZ. The majority of her work is now remote since receiving telehealth licensure through PsyPact in 2021.

Please contact Dr. Leo if you have questions about her work, services or availability, or if you'd like to schedule a retreat experience.
