Valerie Graf, a Licensed Master Social Worker, holds a wealth of experience spanning various settings and diverse populations. Her academic journey commenced at SUNY Oneonta, where she pursued a major in Child and Family Studies as an undergraduate. During her four-year tenure abroad, Valerie actively contributed to the Gender and Resource Center, while also spearheading fundraising efforts for St. Jude during her study abroad program in Peru. Furthering her education by attaining a Masters in Social Work from Stony Brook University, Valerie dedicated herself to combating substance abuse among adolescents, and embarked on impactful projects in both Haiti and Costa Rica.

Throughout the majority of her professional career, Valerie has focused on supporting both individuals and couples across all stages of life in residential and day program settings. Within this field, she gained invaluable experience addressing a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including but not limited to schizophrenia, addiction, and personality disorders. Valerie is also extensively trained and experienced in the treatment of Anxiety, Trauma, Relationship Issues, Phobias, Identity Issues, Job Coaching, Autism, ADHD, OCD, LGBTQIA+ Care, and Peak Performance across all age groups.

Valerie's treatment modalities include Crisis Intervention, Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy (ABA), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and her clients often describe her style as gentle, relatable, and intuitive.

Additional session information

Therapist's note

We are out of network with all health insurances. However, if you have a PPO or out of network plan, your insurance will refund 60-80 percent of each session, as long as you have met your out of network deductible for the year.

Our company session rates can range between $100 and $300 per person, depending on the clinician that you choose, their sliding scale ability, and requested service type (ie. individual, couples, or family therapy). We recommend that most clients attend therapy biweekly, rather than weekly, though the frequency of appointments is entirely up to you.
