Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSWVicky Travis is an LMSW, Licensed Masters of Social Work who has been in practice for over 25 years in New York. She got her MSW degree from Adelphi University’ on Long Island Vicky continued her training At the long island consultation center and the center for modern psychoanalytic studies in Manhattan. More recently, Vicky trained with the Gottman Institute for couples.
Vicky uses an integrative approach to treatment including psychodynamic, psychoanalytic principles but also integrating and cognitive behavioral principles. He and her work with couples Vicky uses the Gottman-based method of the sound relationship house theory to help couples develop greater understanding and awareness to achieve meaningful interpersonal growth.
She has worked with individuals couples and children focusing on a broad range of issues, including Anxiety, depression, marital issues grief and loss. Presently she conduct sessions via zoom telephone and in person. Her sessions are 45 to 50 minutes long. She offers a 15 minute free consultation
