Professional statement

Vincent is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing services in psychotherapy, counseling, and parenting/behavior. Vincent specializes in working with adults on men's issues, anxiety, stress, relationship hardships, parenting and behavior modification. He also supports clients seeking to work on mood disorders, social issues, trauma, grief, and life changes. Vincent has a lot of experience working with parents on developing plans to adjust and improve relationships and behavior at home and at school.

Specializing in men's issues means Vincent is interested in getting men into therapy. Men's issues include relationship problems, work issues, new to fatherhood, struggles with masculinity, machismo, and the pressure of traditional ideals regarding men's roles in the family.

Vincent strives to create a welcoming and friendly environment for sessions. Expect a casual and calm session where you can get comfortable and feel free to talk.

Some methods Vincent uses: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution Focused Therapy and others.

Located in West Hartford, Connecticut and looking for in-person clients at this time. For folks out of state, Vincent cannot provide "therapy" since his license is in Connecticut, however "consulting" may be provided to out-of-state clients. Consulting is not billable to insurance and this would be cash only service.

Message to clients

I know it can be a big step to reach out for support. If you feel ready to start therapy or just have questions about services I provide, contact me via e-mail. I’m nice, I promise. Just send me a short e-mail and we can set up a time for a phone call. I'm available mostly on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and looking for clients in the West Hartford area who can come in-person to appointments. When contacting me please note your availability (days/times), where you're located, and type of insurance you have.

I specialize in a few areas of mental and behavioral health so that I can focus on those treatment methods and reach a high level of expertise. My goal is to not just provide a safe comfortable place to talk, but to provide real results that are measurable. We will make progress on whatever issue you bring, and if not, I will help you find a new therapist.

For any client: we start with a short phone consultation and if you'd like to proceed, we will have an initial intake session to collect all information and go over procedures, consents, releases, and other documents. After that you can expect to schedule for weekly 1 hour therapy sessions with treatment plan reviews every 3 months

Therapy should be collaborative experience. It can be challenging at times, but if you're ready to do the work it can be one of the most rewarding experiences.
