Mr. Walter has over 34 years of experience in the mental health counseling field. Anxiety, PTSD, trauma and mood disorders as well as personality disorders are a particular area of specialization for him. He is a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) and specializes also in treatment of Personality Disorders. His theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness practices. He works with individuals, couples, and families.
Mr. Walter has provided counseling to individuals and couples, crisis intervention and clinical case management to people with severe and persistent mental illness in community mental health centers in Washington and Oregon. He has supervised therapists in community mental health centers and in private practice and is a qualified supervisor for purposes of licensure.

Frequency of sessions this provider offers to see clients once you are an established client.
Counseling sessions are designed to be FIFTY minutes long although our initial session may be longer. My standard rate for a therapy session is $150, payable before the session starts. I do offer a sliding scale however on a case by case basis. Please allow at least 24 hours' notice for a cancellation. Late cancellations and missed appointments will be charged at 50% of the agreed upon rate for the first occurrence and 100% for subsequent occurrences. Due to the nature of my practice I may not be able to respond to phone calls immediately. Phone calls between sessions will be free for the first 5 minutes. Beyond that, calls will be billed on a per minute, prorated basis based on the agreed upon hourly rate.
