Wendy Aporta's most frequent modalities are Acceptance and Commitment and Internal Family Systems Therapies, as well as Cognitive Processing Therapy, and she uses mindfulness-based and neurophysiologically-based interventions within trauma-informed care. She is proficient with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, sexual assault, and acute psychopathology including dissociative identity disorder.
In Wendy Aporta's downtime, as a way of taking time to take care of herself, she is an artist. When she takes a break from the world of trauma in which she works, she paints, sculpts, produces mixed media art, and writes prose and poetry.
